1. Still working on filling up my pondless water feature. It is approximately 4 ft x 5 ft and ranging from 20 to 36 inches deep. Any additional thoughts or recommendations on affordable fillers? I am using buckets, cinder blocks, and maybe corrugated pipe (4"). Will I, at some point, have to purchase gravel or rocks to fill in the gaps?
2. I have a 1600 gph Vivosun submersible pump (14 ft. lift). Can I place the pump in the shallow part of the reservoir and have the intake/sump end attached to vinyl piping drawing from the deepest portion of the reservoir and then have the output end of the pump attached to additional to vinyl piping that carries on up to the waterfall/head of the feature. Thoughts?

vinyl is not a good choice for intake lines more than likely it will collapse due to the suction
So just let the pump sit in the deepest part? Or are there are other types of pipe you'd recommend for intake?

yes a submersible can be placed inside a pond and left there with no intake but the fish can be sucked in "aske me how i know" and flex pvc pipe has it all over kink free or vinyl
