While I would love to own a piece of glass by him, I had to settle for a signed lithograph. Only thing i could afford.

He has a few shops in Vegas and there are lots of pieces there that are "affordable". Last time I was there (City Center), I picked out a piece for my wife, but gave her a option if she wanted a something from Tiffany's instead. Diamonds are a girl's best friend as they say, she went with the latter.

Actually my brother has met the artist before and been to his studios. My brother is an architect/builder of casinos and casinos are probably the biggest patrons of Dale. This one at the Bellagio was estimated at over $10M at the time, probably a lot more now.

Closer to me at the Borgata in Atlantic City, is a permanent exhibit of about $5M in Chihuly glass. One of the displays below.

LOL, most architects don't get the credit, the owners of the firm gets the accolades
He went to LV much later, his first ground up project he worked on was the Red Rock Casino, some of you may have seen it on reality TV. The construction futures in Vegas dried up about 10 years ago, with his last project in CityCenter, which almost didn't survive creditors. He's now in Macau, which is the Vegas of the East. That too is now dry and the new hot market is suppose to be Japan. In actuality his dream is to move back to the US, good thing is Vegas is on a comeback.

For 2 years I got to live in a house designed by Eero Saarinen. It was very rare for him to design private house. I was not a fan of modern architecture till then.
