Does it matter which type of pipes to use?
I was given 2" ABS piping, and I was thinking I can use it for the return. Not sure if that the correct way to decribe it. My pond is going to be 40' long and my plan is to lay the piping down and cover it with sand and gravel. There will be concrete poured over it because a retaining wall is also built.
Any thoughts?

As long as the pipe is SCH 40 you should be alright, we dont use ABS here but i know they use a lot out west,,You want a good thick pipe under concrete..
