Finally tired of battling the alge and decided to add a bog to my existing pond. I currently have a biological waterfall not doing the job. I am replacing it with a Laguna Heavy Duty Preformed Pond 51'' x 32'' x 18'' 108 Gal PT795 tank that I will make into a bog. I could use bulkheads and PVC for the dischagre back into the pond, but really enjoy a sheet waterfall. Any ideas how to add one. Existing commercial options welcomed. I have attached a photo of what I'm trying to do, but cannot find the parts. Thanks in advance for the advice.
if you're careful, you can just 'cut' the weir from the side of your preform. I've done this with rubbermaid file drawers. You cut the left, top, and right, then using a heat gun, bend the 'flap' you just created, down to whatever angle you want. Use some sort of straight edge (I used a 2x4) when you bend and heat the whole flap evenly at the same time. It should soften. Push from inside the preform with another straight edge slightly shorter than your opening and push it down to the 2x4. Hold in place for a bit while it cools.
If you need more 'length', you can screw a plastic piece beneath. You can also cut some pieces and silicone them to the sides to form the channel, if you like.
