I recently completed a quarantine of some new fish.

So now that the fish are out in the big pond, what do I do with this QT set-up? Have read somewhat conflicting info on this point. The most extreme was to take down and sterilize EVERYTHING, but of course, if I do that, I'll lose all the BB that's grown in the TT. Or do I just keep this set-up going and add new fish as needed for quarantining?

So not sure where to go from here....

If I were importing and selling fish I would see doing so. Don't want to spread stuff to your customers.

But for us if one batch with disease made it though QT, well it is already in our pond too.

..... when I take down my current QT set-up.....

.....WHAT IS THE CORRECT PROCEDURE to follow for "sterilizing" a QT [tank and all the filter media, pumps, tubings, nets, etc.]?

Chlorine bleach is the preferred method. Wash the tank, pumps, filters, nets.....anything that has been in contact with the suspect fish, with a solution of bleach and water. Rinse well.

What is the preferred solution strength?

Nine parts water to one part bleach. This assumes a household bleach (Clorox, Javex) which is 5% strength. Don't need an eye-dropper, there is some leeway there!
