I have a pond on my horse obstacle course that is about 2 ft deep. I just got a windmill with an air pump for cheap and am looking for ideas how to use the air. Thinking of an airlift pipe but not sure how much height I can get. Any ideas would be helpful. I might try about a 1 1/2 " pipe with an air stone and try from there. It would be great if I could get a 2 ft lift above the water level.

Look into ram pumps though they are move for water pushing water there maybe a windmill as energy source.

But as far as air lift is concerned and I did make two way back when. These were very fine diffusers that did not have air stones. Yet could realy push some water. I looked for it on YouTube it was a German that had made it it was impressive. I still have them. It was 4 inch pvc with 3 inch inside it at the bottom that was perforated with tiny holes and it made a water column. Worked realy well

That all depends how much energy Air cfm you throw at it yes definately 4 feet was about the max above water level that was likec300 gph but don't quote me on it it jas been years I guess if you asked nice I could grab it and throw an air pump at it . But as the unit was brought closer to the water it's amount grew in leeps and bounds. It will be much cooler tomorrow I'll try to remember

Are you looking for a moving water obstacle for obstacle trail? That sounds like fun. Our judges always told us the horses had to walk through the pond, not jump it. I can picture my old Morgan gelding stopping on a hot day to enjoy a water spray.

Just trying to find a way to use the air output from the windmill air pump. Not sure how much air it will supply, of course it is wind dependant.
