have some type of green algae growing in my small ornamental pond. My dog commonly drinks from my pond so I need something safe for him. I also have some pond plants...water lettuce & hyacinth + impatiens that I don't want to harm. Algaecide recommendations???? (I don't have fish)

Welcome Amy. How many gallons? Sun or shade?

Pictures would help but I used batting to clean mine out. Rinsed it every day for a few weeks but my pond is larger than yours.
