I noticed my angels were getting aggressive. My male has chased my female around and nipped her bottom and top fins a bit. What is this?
I have had a tank with a pair ( one male and one female ) of angels in a 29 gallon. It’s heavily planted with live plants, plenty of food, not overcrowded, and very peaceful fish.
I tried looking it up but it says they are mating or being territorial.

That usually is the correct answer for any type of cichlid, angels included. Could be the male is trying to mate and the female is not ready. Are they a proven pair? What are the other fish in the tank?
