My 400 gallon pond has by choice 10 goldfish,1 frog and a few snails. It has by chance a few babies, a few more snails, and some regular visitors that stop by on a regular basis that include local cats, raccoons, squirrels, and a lot of birds! Glad to meet other people that love ponds!

Yes, This year we got a nest of yellow finches right by the pond. Somehow the pond attracted them. They sing amazingly. I also saw a Purple Martin doing back flips in our waterfall. I have never seen any of these birds before in our urban location until we put the pond in.

I have tons of birds drinking out of our pond. See raccoon prints near the edge, Love watching for what shows up. We have a lot of yellow finches here in the summer, in the winter the red breasted ones, cardinals and a variety of flickers take over. And some cute little gray birds. (still learning the maryland bird names)
