Just got a new pump and I'm having trouble securing the hose (1" corrugated tubing) to the outlet. I have a spare hose clamp but I don't know if it would be bad for the fish to have metal in the water.

Thanks! In the past I would always just shove a fountain attachment into the hose and it would miraculously work. The fountain attachment that came with this pump though kept slipping out whenever I would place it in the water. I've never actually known the "proper" way to attach the hose to the pump output.

Most stainless steel clamps don't have a stainless steel screw. I doubt that is a problem.

I get the screws and put them in the clamps but have found that you can also buy surgical steel clamps and the screws are made of the same thing .
