What water pond plants grow best in full sun?
my favorite plant that grows in full sun is the water hyacinth, it is very hardy, and multiplies pretty quickly, also, since it is floating, it has some amazing long roots for the fish to hide in and nibble on

the one thing to be careful of is that the water hyacinth may be illegal in some places, and I am not too sure if that would apply to water arizona

Edit! turn out water hyacinth is illegal in Arizona, so possibly look into some marginals or rooted floaters, like water lilies, or dwarf cattails. One of my favorite super low cost plants is watercress, as it costs only a couple dollars at a grocery store, and it super hardy. :)
