yes it does Big Lou we used to call in to get our Long overseas allowance , then they got funny and it was if a helicopter lands (I suppose to save money).
Nowadays one has to be on US soil to get that allowance my how things have changed in the last 30 odd years in the Royal Navy But theres no doubt about it the Azores has a rugged beauty that is hard not to like

That doesn't even look real. Looks like the secret passage to a magical land... Gosh I hope they have unicorns there.

One of the waterfalls we seen. This one was one the steepest mountain roads we have ever driven on to get to it. I thought about sitting on the hood so it did not tip over on the way up This on was the hardest to get into position for.
