My liner in my front pond is shredded due to a bear, looks like he decided to have a bath while we were away for the weekend, came home to the liner being pulled away on half the pond and the water stirred up. The water level has been dropping for the last week or so and now that the water has cleared the tears have become apparent. Perhaps the final straw for this pond, originally it was concrete that cracked 2 winters ago, lined it with EPDM 2 springs ago and had a good run with it, don't think I'll spend the money on a new liner. Jack hammer and some good topsoil to fill the hole and turn it into a Japanese garden, focus on the main pond.

A bear is my big concern here. With 5' strait sides I am sure to get the pond clawed.
They often come in and raid the apple trees. Better get them picked soon to discourage them.
