Hi All,

I've been off the site for a while. We were gone most of summer on vacation and now are settling back into school. I can't believe I've already seen a post on getting ready for winter!

Some updates with me.
1. My pond cleared up, crystal clear. So I guess my fish load wasn't the problem, not sure what was up, but happy its over now. Maybe a part of the cycle of a newish pond.

2. My fish are getting HUGE.

3. My husband tells me the other night he's interested in building a bigger pond up the hill from this pond, doing it right (regarding liner issues), moving all the fish to the new pond and then reconstructing the existing pond to fix the liner and some other issues we are having. WOW! I didn't even know he liked the pond! LOL! I'm not sure where I am on that. I need to think about it. I have become blind to the liner situation now, but I guess he hasn't. Just feels like more work than I have in me right now.

4. We have a foster dog with us. She was a badly neglected breeder dog that lived in a pen for 7 years with no vet visits. She is now a pampered fur baby who is currently sitting under a diffuser enjoying some cedar wood and lavender oil for calming. She is really sick with heartworms and liver issues. She has very little energy and her meds cause her to pee in the house (I'm not even sure if she is housebroken, but her meds cause her to pee a lot to get the fluid out of her chest). I actually have a mop and bucket sitting around just waiting for the next clean up. She's also not eating. I made her chicken and rice yesterday, she gobbled it down, but hasn't eaten since then. I keep expecting her to die over night. Fingers crossed she will pull through, but I don't think she will ever really be healthy due to all the heart damage.

5. The kids are back in school, so I can get back to coffee by the pond with my fish babies.

6. I have also had some unfortunate health news and I need a surgery, after which I should be fine and better than new.

So WOW! That's a lot going on in my house!

Wecome back priscilla you are a person after our own heart al of our cats since 1990 have been rescues apart from two born here on our bed .
Our last female rescued had mental health problems due to three different owners in 2 years wen she came to us she pee'd all over the house you have to be patient and see how things go with her sadly Suki developed an agressive mouth cancer and had to be put to sleep but she had six happy fear free years with us "god how both Val and I cried when the vet said theres nothing more we can do for her" call me a great big softy .
Our latest rescue is Betty who was unsocialised when she was found with her two brothers in a coal scuttle or coal shed as they are sometimes called .
The cat Protection people often come to us with hard to house cats that have issues Betty was no different "shes been with us a year now but what a change to her".
She can now be handled she will go on Vals lap and my own something that took months of patience .
Jack when he came to us was suffering the after effects of a cat flue injection and had green puss comng from his eyes and nose when he arrive " nursed by Val but hes my cat first and will follow me anywhere and everywhere .
All but three led long and happy lives once with us Spooky and Spooky II died after being run over and suki died far to young do to mouth cancer .
We currently own three rescue cats
I'm glad your hubby is turning out to be a closet ponder :ROFLMAO::):D :happy: try to get him to build a pond of at least 1000 gallons either liner, breeze block, or large welded plastic ponds like our own or liner .

Wow Pricilla busy summer for you. Good luck on your surgery and wishing you a speedy recovery when the time comes.
Hats off to you for fostering that poor little dog. Hope she survives her health problems and so good of you to take care of her.
Oooh a new pond in the making. Awsome your husband is on board! I realize you said it was his idea, even better!

Hi Priscilla so glad to see you back. Wow what a busy summer. I am super tickled that your pond cleared, I know it was stressing you out. Very happy you have taken in a dog needing a home, I knew I liked you for a reason. :)
Hopefully the dog will get better and be there to help nurse you back to health after your surgery.
And the hubby wants to build another pond? Haha isn't it funny how times change? My hubby is now into feeding the fish and skimming the pond. There is hope for them yet. :D:ROFLMAO:
Anyway, glad to see you back!
