Yep gators can climb .My Aunt Jo lives in Florida and before her hubby passed away they woke up to a lot of noise .Well the gator got in there screened in room and got in there raised spa tub and it was even up on a platform .I even remember her comment from that day caption was SPA DAY ALL GATORS INVITED :) .I remember her posting pics of it a couple of years ago .Insurance company had to pay up .

There was an alligator on the loose here a couple years back. It escaped a small zoo, found the river, and disappeared for months. If I remember correctly, it escaped in late Summer or early Fall and wasn't found until the next Spring. I have no idea how it survived winter.

Oh my. I thought this was going to be a cute photo of a fake gator designed to float in the pond to prevent plunder!
