So a few weeks ago I mentioned plans to incorporate a biological filter into my pond. I've been thinking of incorporating a carbon pellet filter into the filter. My idea is to take some 3" dia PVC pipe and have two 1"-3" adaptors to make a little capsule. The bags of carbon pellets are sold at Pet smart for 9$ of 3 bags. I do understand these are made for fish tanks instead of 1500 gallon ponds. I figure when used in conjunction with a bio filter they would assist each other. So if I'm to go about this would I put the carbon unit inline before the bio filter or after the bio filter? What's the best way to go about this?
