Thank you

A few tips for bird photography

1) Keep the bird the main subject, try not to have much background clutter
2) Keep your best focus on the eye
3) Try for interesting poses
4) For many use a tripod for better focus and tracking when in flight
5) Try keeping for shutter speed up, again this will help with focus
6) remember light is your friend, use it to your advantage

These are just a few, if anyone has a direct question please ask

Since we're talking about birds, I might as well talk about the Horicon Marsh.

The Horicon Marsh is the largest freshwater cattail marsh in the US at 32,000 acres. There's been well over 300 different kinds of birds seen at the marsh and is a very popular birding place in Spring and Fall because of the huge migrations of all types of birds, include many rare species. Millions of birds use the marsh throughout the year. Its also a great place for Frogs, Turtles, and Snakes, among other animal species.

I went in July so migration was over, but I still got to see tons of birds.

and White Pelicans, which was a first for me. I didn't even know we had them in Wisconsin until shortly before the trip. (in the background you can see Great Blue Herons, Great Egrets, and other species)
