Will it cause any regrets if I add a couple of bluegill to my pond? They are currently 2" or so and the smallest koi or shubunkin is around 6".

Bluegill are highly territorial, and they can damage or koi goldfish and koi. Not all do, some get along fine but's it's most definitely risky.

I had two bluegills and sunnys w goldfish and koi. They became "nippers " bullying the other fish. My son fished them out (they took the first worm...) . We couldn't catch one, so he's still in there. ..and like ALL bullies, he leaves everyone alone that that he ain't got his freinds around no. Mad dog

I've had bluegills off and on in my ponds for years and have never had a problem. I think the key to success is having enough room in the pond. They do get territorial in cramped spaces.
