looking at your depth again water celery may not work unless you pot it first leaving some of the upper roots bare. keep the roots a couple inches below the surface of water.

I just bought Yellow Iris, Blue Rush, Hair grass, parrots feather and water hycinth for the bog filter. I think Iris can grow bare root. Does anyone grow Iris this way?

I've read that iris roots can be very aggressive, and, in some cases, puncture pond liners. I'd rather be "safe than sorry" and use a pot with gravel; no dirt necessary.

My bog filter uses a plastic preformed line to feed my waterfall, so no risk of a puncture. I need it to stand up somehow so i think I will use pot with gravel versus potting soil, I'm using now.
