As much as I hate rocks and gravel I was starting to warm up to the idea of a bog.

Our little town is surrounded by farmland and we have lots of wind. Much of the soil is clay based. The wind brings in dirt, especially during droughts, The levels of our lawns rise over time. Sidewalks become depressions and in some cases covered over.

I expect a bog will trap the blowing dirt which would result in a shorter bog life. No way of knowing how much.

If you got too much blowing dirt on it, you could use a shop vac to suck the dirt off the top off the pea gravel.
