Man i'll tell you what there install software design and set up LEAVES A LOT TO BE DESIRED... butttttttttt i went on the web and looking for a tutorial and found a chat button on their website. It still took a good hour if not more for them to remote on and hook up the connection. so while i give there software a negative 5 , i'll give there customer service 5 stars

Hmmm, an hour on your computer remotely and now seeing reports that all of China is using all caps in their messaging, is that a coincidence?;)

But seriously, since I am thinking of an underwater camera, was the issue all due to software? How was setting up the camera and wiring? Does it connect via bluetooth or wifi?

I DID HARD WIRE AS I WAS NEVER IMPRESSED WITH THE PICTURE QUALITY THAT I SAW IN EVERY POST, "whoops there's those damn caps. Hard wire wil;l always be better than a wifi . though wifi has come a long way it's still short. so i ran a hard line but my pond it relatively close to the house so i was able to make a 32 foot wire work though i have some patio work to do to bury it. to get the line into the house i had to drill a 1 1/2" hole to get the mifi block in,

It's quite hilarious that the pictures you take of the picture on your TV are 1000X better than the actual pictures you can take with the software.

Did you find any mobile apps to use? They don't have a proprietary app, which is also dumb. My son (my IT guy) found two that I use - IP Cam to view and XMEye to operate the camera (turn light on and off basically).

I will probably just go with a gopro on a stick. I dont need a camera permanently in the pond. Not having a wifi connection is crazy these days, you stream 4k video over wifi, all the hd video from security cameras, doorbells etc are all wifi. I guess there is not much of a market for these types of underwater cameras hence the lack of competition.

YOU CAN MAKE IT WIFI FOR AROUND 30 BUCKS. where you would normally plug in the ethernet cable if where you would plug in the wifi. but you still need power
