I just bought a house and inherited a koi pond with 8 large koi. From what I learned these fish are approximately 17 years old. The largest one has a red abcess and 2 smaller grey "bubbles" on it's back. No other fish have any marks or scarring.
I'm unsure if this was/is an injury or parasite problem.
