Summer has come and I woke up to see my pond filled with Algae. Got the rake and started taking the stuff out. The type of algae in my pond is very stringy, a very beautiful green and when it dries out it's looks like material that can be used for something. Just wondering if there was something I am missing or is it destined for the garden bin

Agree, compost it. If you also keep aquariums this might be of interest: From time to time I keep/breed American Flag Fish (Jordanella Floridae). They love it and simply attack the stuff. Good luck!
