Don't see why not! You should be able to grow tropicals as well.

Maybe you could freeze them in some water in a chest freezer for a month every year?

Do not freeze waterlilies as it will kill them dead! Maybe one could try putting them in a cool fridge in some water if you live where it stays too warm all winter. I think it would be better to just buy Tropical's and enjoy them all year.

Tropicals are beautiful, different colors than we can get in hardies unless you buy a expensive hybrid.

As south as 'mile zero' can dip into the low 60's (mid-January) so why not try it and see?
