I have Googled and Louisiana iris is supposed to grow in this region. Is anyone in the Phoenix Arizona region that does grow Iris?

Were they put in water or did you have dirt that they were in? I would put them on my ledges.

No problem. I enjoyed my pond / stream in az, but once I moved and rented the house I had it torn down, the tenants could not take care of it. Even with me paying a pond maintenance company to come over once a month.

The biggest issue in AZ ponding is making the pond deep enough, enough water movement to keep the water cool enough. Mine averaged 86F.

Interesting mine did that the first year, but this year the water temps were to low to swim but once. First year there was no debris and the dark blue bottom and clear water had a lot to do with high water temps. Now 3 years later the bottom has a foot of decomposed matter and a tan coating everywhere below the water line.
