For some reason today I cannot upload pictures using advanced or basic uploader. The picture I was trying to upload is the same photo I loaded fine a couple days ago. Keeps saying Upload skipped - Error 500
File size was 4.02MB and Max file size is 8MB.
I had to use photobucket to post the picture to the forum finally.
Thanks for any help you can give Becky or Ian

I have had problems since this morning with the post option it says saving and then just freezes that way for a long time and message does not ever get posted .No problems so far with pics but I have a photo thing on my puter and just save the photo's straight to the puter .Photo shop works great also and is a cheap program and had that and you can do neat things with it and the cheap program only cost me under 10 dollars

Well heck I don't know what the problem could be. I loaded pix just the other day and they worked fine from my computer. Now not at all. Have to use Photobucket now. Wonder what a 500 error means? Thanks for showing me that you can do it addy. Cute picture of the little hog

I saw on my photobucket that it is updating .I very seldom use it and decided to take a look at it just to see .It also told me I had not updated my photobucket the last time it was supposed to be done .I got photobucket so I could resize pics easier but do not need it in most cases .

Photobucket works too for me. It's when I try to load a photo stored on my computer that is the problem. Trying again:

Ok now it won't work again. I found out the 500 Error is from the websites end of the problem. So why can't I load photo's again?
Here is what I receive:

Error message on forum.png

Ok so how come it will let me upload that message? Is it cuz the photo is 2.90 MB?
The error message photo above is only 12.32 KB.
It says that you can load up to 8 MB's per single file size so?

Ok I can upload a photo that is 1.50 MB but not one that is 2.41 MB.

IMG_4170.JPG

The second one that didn't upload was only 2.41 MB

I've always been able to upload 4.00 MB in the past.

Ok so I reduced the size of the photo to 127.40 KB and it now will upload. But still wonder why I have to reduce the size now of all my photos when I never had to do so before?

Maybe your photo's are set smaller in your camera settings already? Take a look sometime and see how big an average photo size is in your pictures documents. Mine are from 1MB to 4MB or so. When I change them to the smaller KB size I can upload. If nothing else I can just do a quick resize and then when uploaded can delete the smaller one. I don't want a bunch of extra photo's of different sizes clogging up my computer. Just keeping the originals

Thanks for letting me know about this - I guess it must be related to the filesize then. I'll see if there's anything I can do in the admin panel to adjust the image upload process - but if that fails then I may need to make some changes to the server backend. Can you try uploading a pic again tomorrow and see if the problem continues, as I'm working on the admin end right now :).
