In the spring of 2020, the world was shutting down and people were staying home because of the pandemic. I decided it was a good time to dig a pond to attract birds and other creatures. It has become a focal point of my garden and the hub of avian activity in my backyard. On the first anniversary of the pond, I created a post celebrating its one year milestone. And now the pond has turned a fabulous five and it remains the vital heart of my garden.

Thank you for your kind words.
About the only good thing that came out of that point in time. that and social distancing, not a fan of people who like to get in your face.

looks almost too good you have a plant that the bottom of your planting looks like the biggest penny wart i have ever seen, that or its a very dangerous plant that can grow all over everything quickly. Or if its been there five years then i have no idea what im talking about

The pond is planted with pickerelweed (Pontederia cordata), arrowhead (Sagittaria latifolia), & white waterlily (Nymphaea odorata). And fairy moss (Azolla caroliniana). All are native to Tennessee. No pennywort, thank goodness.
