Central Jersey pond

Hello i'm a new member from the Hightstown area. I have an approx. 1000 gal pond with liner and grade level stone rim. pond is about 7 years old. we made a concrete solids separation tank/waterfall and covered it in stone. not bad for amateurs. All of this was done to help smooth the drop in elevation out the back door of the house.

It feels great when you build such an accomplishment with your own hands and ideas.
Tell us more....do you have fish? What kind? How many? Any plants? I'd like to hear more about the concrete separation tank. Sounds like an interesting idea. Explain how you constructed it and how it functions. The idea kind of reminds me of a home septic system.
