Hi, I am a (kind of) retired anglo-italian veterinary surgeon. I currently have a few fishtanks (2 x 100gal mbuna, 100 gal discus, 75 gal soutamerican comunity, 40 gal oranda, 15 gal CR shrimp/Otocinclus cocama. I live on a hilltop (1200 ft up) within sight of the mediterranean coast, hot summers (100's) but can freeze/snow heavy in winter. Will post in the newbie section what I would like to ne my 1st pond. Ciao

Hi, weather a nit muggy today so not the best photos, you can barely see thesea and the mountains the other side are hidden, at least the barley is golden. Beach is 1/2 hour drive one way, ski slopes 1 hour the other

Just a few hours ferry from here, we are 1/2 way down the Adriatic coast, same latitude as Rome just the other side of the boot.
I like your dogs, we have 25 (mostly rescues or no longer wanted) dogs, a dozen cats, 3 horses, 2 mini and 1 not so mini (1/4 boar) pet pigs, giant Brahma and mini Serama ornamental chickens and runner ducks.

My sons pit bulls I have 3 chihuahuas and at the other house 2 horses .My pit bull passed away last year and all my dogs have been rescues .My nephew was over there to see the pope for a personal meeting .He has terminal cancer and that was his wish

So sorry about your nephew, hope the Holy Father has managed to give him some degree of comfort, he seems someone who cares about the less fortunate members of his flock. Dog-wise we go from 3 maltese to 3 great danes, with lots of mutts in between. We have them mostly from local rescues but we now had a total of 5 from various ladies who are poorly because of breast cancer. We would love to take in pit bulls but are prevented by the thought that should we need to move back to the UK we would not be allowed to take them, stupid breed specific laws.

our insurance company did not know about our pit bull if they did they would cancel us .But he was so friendly .Sad to say but his grandmom past away this spring (joanne ) and she had told me she did not want to outlive Gino and he is not doing well but they just started him on an experimental drug ,so only god knows the outcome .Thank you and on here we all have pets and add pics of our pets .We love to see them all
