Hi again I was wondering if anyone of you do the same as me when I need to clean my filters I save the silt & sludge and my mrs uses it for watering the plants around the garden. shrubs, flowers, hanging baskets and even the indoor cactus have always bloomed or looked a lot healthier after.

oh, yes! That poop and fish detrius is just a marvel for plant growth. I rinse my filter media right over my tomato plants and they love it. It's all just a "manure" of a finny kind.

I am going to try and grow tomato plants in our bog filter. Once we have water that is!

I have always used the pond water and pond goop to water plants, they love it.

I tried that, it didn't work for me. The plant just died. Hope it works for you.

Never know, worth trying,
We have a yellow cherry that has been giving us tomatoes since last year, take cuttings and regrow. Move inside over winter in the sun room and have tomatoes all winter, fertilize via finger. That one little plant is now 7 plants and boy is it sweet!
