Clear slime looking substance on the back of one of my water lillies

Hello garden pond forum,

I just bought some water lilies and I found this slime on the back. What is it, and Should I remove it?

Snail eggs? I'd try to get rid of it.

I've had these before. If they are snail eggs, a close look (magnifier) should reveal it to be internally sub divided into many tiny eggs...matters not! Wipe the leaves clean, top and bottom, then spray them with Aphid X garlic extract. It's not just for Aphids...It even keeps deer and other critters away and is harmless to your pond and fish.
