Hello and welcome!

That’s awesome and such a lovely location! This has all been since March? How did you get the plants to fill in so quickly?

Guys, I swear, I started in March. The bog has 50 plants in it, 50 square feet. I dug the pond by hand, the last foot was "are you kidding me? I'm only at 28"?". I ordered a ton of cobble (rocks), a ton of river stone, four yards of 3/8s pea stone, and started with 3 tons of bulk wall stone which grew to 20 tons. Each night at 5, I would go out and "play with my rocks". Weekends were very busy. It rained, snowed, hailed, and I worked through all of it. I lost 25 pounds and 2 pant sizes and had a good tan going by May. I'm still tweeking the falls between the bog and the pond but I've pretty much finished. Now it's a nice place to sit at the end of the day with a vodka tonic while listening to my wireless low voltage speaker. If you would like, I can post a list of everything that went into the construction. I really did enjoy this project but I really want to get back on the road now.

My guess is there's a ton of phosphates in the city water. Bravo Nice job ! next year you'll be ripping out half the plants you bought this year.

Wow, what kind of soil do you have? We have nasty, thick, Sticky, red clay. We had to rent an excavator for ours. I don’t even want to think about what it would have taken for us to dig it by hand.
