Last year some of the hardies in the deck ponds [which get about 8 hours of direct sun] burned up during the hottest part of the summer. This year we moved most of them into the greenhouse/screenhouse [about 8 hours of filtered light at about 50% strength], and they seem to be doing better. None of the pads are burned and the flowers are un blemished. We also moved some mosaic plant into the same pond. It seems to like the open, deep water. Our newest additions are N. Little Champion which has it's first bloom and N.gigantea which has it's first bud. Thanks Kat.

They look great Gary. I showed Suzanne the pics and the first thing out of her mouth was "When are we taking a road trip". lol I told her I have to make the time to go out there and spend the afternoon soon. Showed her the Mosica plant and she said why don't you have that. Again, I told her that I needed to get down there to get my start. Shouldn't be to much longer and we may finally have the bulk of our projects done. Then it will be the constant trying to keep it all up, modifications, add on's improvements etc etc etc. That will never end but really hoping to get these paid folks done and out of here.

FINALLY GOT THE WEATHER BANNER TYPED IN RIGHT!
TM: Mosaic plant is planted in soil like a waterlily. It sends a shoot up to the surface with a whorl of leaves at the tip. As the leaves grow they form a mosaic-like pattern. New runners branch off the main runner until the area is completely covered or it runs out of nutrients in the pot. If it gets too crowded, string algae grows on the decaying old leaves and makes a mess.

I like that Mosaic plant............wish it was hardy here but it's not. It's really neat the way it grows like a pattern across the water.

Hey congrats on the banner M-man. I know if you don't type every single letter and symbol just perfect w/ no spaces it won't work. I put a ? by mistake instead of the slash and took me a little bit to go through and find my mistake.
