To my dismay, my Laguna canisters were badly cracked. They are less than a year old and I leave them outside but dettach the hoses, clean them out and leave the lock rings off. Contacted Hagen last week but have not heard back. Should I just order a replacement and assume it won't be warranted. I have a 10 year old Laguna which is just showing some age. But still works fine

Did you email them or call? I called them a few years ago with a product question and they were very responsive.

Sorry this happened. I agree with @Stephen Noble , if you e-mailed them, I'd give them a phone call. When I had canister filters, I'd usually bring the canister inside for the most frigid part of the winter.
