CRACKED - Hayward Star Clear II Filter Tank Body

Looking for advice on how to (or IF it can be) repair a hair line crack. Water leaks as a small spray at a steady rate when at pressure.

Sorry, but my only suggestion would be to contact the company. I would be leery of trying a repair. Depending on how old it is, maybe it’s still in warranty. Is this for a pond or a pool?

If you contact manufacuter they could tell you what type of resin is used there maybe a bonding glue you could pull it back together. But ultimately by a replacement housing or a new pump and when the motor goes in5 years you have a replacement

I have patched a hairline crack in my 20 year old Hayward using mesh screening embedded in two part epoxy.
I spread the epoxy, pressed in a piece of window screening, then smeared more epoxy over it. It has never leaked.

Mine was cracked on the side of the unit.
You may have more of a problem though if your crack is right at the mating surface. You don't want to compromise the seal with a bulky patch.
