Crayfish in a pond?

Can you put locally caught crayfish in a small garden pond?

Yes, but their diet is precise. And your water quality must be a certain GH/KH and calcium must be a certain level.

I don't know. I had a friend who had a huge one he wanted to "pardon" and put in my pond but I was afraid he would go after my fish so I said no.

I don't know about local crayfish, but we did buy a couple one year and put them in the pond. Saw them a couple times and then never saw them again... 10 bucks down the proverbial drain!
