Bought a new fish off eBay..

Mom said she would take the bag and put it in the pond. I though ok fine I'll come home out the bag inside the tank for quarantine cause this ain't from a source I'm sure of.

I come home and the bag is opened and the fish and it's water are in the pond.

I take the fish out put it inside and I'm doing a full water change. Any other advise.

Can't salt the pond.

No signs of a problem.

Before you take such drastic measures, how much time elapsed between your Mom putting the bag in the pond and you discovering what happened. If it was several hours, that is sufficient time for any and all fish in the pond to become infected if indeed they are.
