Digging a hole

I must really want this pond because digging this "easy hole" turning into a circus
Just the tip of it was giving me a hard time and I started to dig and realized it was a lot bigger than I realized. I almost gave up but I'm glad I didn't because it will look really nice around the pond.
It took me 2 hours to get it out I'm hoping this is the last big obstacle.
I'm a little worried about next year when I want to build a bigger pond LOL

Welcome to the forum. That's a GREAT ROCK! @Dimelius has a great suggestion - go bigger now.

ALWAYS build the biggest pond you can the first go round. Save time, money, and aggravation.

I started with one big pond and now have around 11 all different sizes. Only two stocked with fish.

Go big!

I would go big but I am limited on space within my garden.
Also I have a preformed pond no liner yet.

Space isn't a problem...my pond isnt so big but i got all space that i had...by the way you can try with your preformed this year, next year buy liner, throw away preformed(or use for minibog/waterfall, other pond) and use this hole to make bigger pond...but you will fight against with a new one pond(algae etc)...

That sounds like a good idea using it for a minibog or water for the bigger one.

Preforms are usually limited in how long they last , if i had my way they wouldn't make them at all with the exception of hd.

This was second hand. I guess this will get me started. I'm already planning for the next bigger one with sheet liner.

The average ponder has three ponds. Big, bigger, biggest. I decided to save my money and hopefully this is my biggest the first time around. If this is only the big . I'm screwed

A bog filter will cost less and work much better than the average store bought filters.
