Diy k2 static filter

almost complete with my filter. I went with a double 55 gallon static filter with 2 cubic feet of k2 media in each. Still waiting on my gate valves to get hear for the drains so they are capped so i could run this and test for leaks. So far so good

Its not a moving bed so it will serve as mechanical more than biological. I didnt have room to put a third barrel for fluidized bed filter so i have a bunch of media in my water fall filter plus this should be enough

How’d these work out for you mechanically? I’d love to go with static k1 and wanted to hear or see how well it works as the only filter
