Hey there. I live in southern Ontario Canada and I have a small pond, about 400 gal, 1500 liter. Currently have 7 Comet fish bit I will be cutting it back to 4. I was thinking about making a bog filter and was looking for some advice on how to begin. I currently have a filter with UV, see pics. Would like something decorative so feel free to post pics of what you have just to give me ideas.

Hello! I'm sorry I don't have any expertise with above ground systems like this. But your set-up is reminding me of a video series I saw from The Pond Digger - on YouTube. He did a sort of good-looking raised trough sort of thing, if I'm remembering right. OzPonds might also have something that could work. Good luck!

I would think about building a bog all along the length of the pond between the pond and the fence.it is narrow and you'll have to come up with narrow support walls. Like 3/4 marine grade plywood or azek.
Your not going to have any serious preasures. So for that I would entertain build two compartments so you can have a divider between them or one long one and a cross brace over the top. Bogs don't need to be wide they just have a couple basic rules. Round rocks meaning edges are round not jagged. And upflow water through the bog the plants will fill your area quickly but with the right choices and roots that don't get to dense it can last for years. Before you may need to do some maintenance
