Most go to a wheat germ based food as the water cools. Below 55 I quit feeding.

Wheat germ digests easier and won't sit in their guts and rot which can kill them. Yes it's the same for koi and goldfish.

I would think they would have it in the store but might cost ya more. Give them a call and ask them at the nearest store to you.

Thanks, JW. I should have figured that out -- it's the same with my box turtles. As "brumation" time approaches, I begin cutting the protein from their diet. Same reason.
