Didnt wait for hubby to get around and make me a filter so I made my own out of a 5 gallon bucket, the 1 1/2 " intake is at the top and 1 1/2 at the bottom.I put a lid on it and a very large rock on the lid so the lid wouldn't blow to kingdom come and now its dripping what did I do wrong?

I have a 310 gal pond, and a 5 gal filter just will not work. I have a 30 gal barrel filter that that works for me and that is what you need. RDK

A 5 gallon bucket is too small for a 310 gal pond but I did make one a while back that I had running a 40 gal trash can I was using to quaritine in a pinch. Worked well to. By far the smallest skippy filter I have ever made.

I agree -- that 5 galloner was good to get going - but it is too small for that size. You should do atleast a 30 gallon if you have a 350 gall pond. Good luck, Jason
