im new to all this ,so excuse my ignorance, ive read that bog filters are the way to go
but whats the difference between pressurized filters and a box filter?
does one type work more efficiently than the other?
whats the general consensus on this forum regarding the above said filters

i came across this on utube today do you see any flaws or alterations that may have to be made?would it be big enough
for approx a 500 ltr pond?
the idea looks simple enough and easily made imo ,and could do with a drain pipe and tap also,to help with draining for maintenence
it says in the comments to make the out flow piping bigger than the in flow piping whats your thoughts?

I only use bog type filters. A lot of pea gravel planted heavily. Water input is below the gravel and pushes up through it. My ponds require minimal care, no filters to clean, no green water, minimal algae. The bog plants use up a lot the nutrients in the water.

if i made a raised bog( 1 ft deep by 4ft by 4ft approx with pea gravel and plants only on the liner) for filtration and gravity fed a pond of 110 gallons would a 1000 ltr p/hr be adequate

That is about 264 gallons per hour for the pump. It would be more than enough flow.

i was just thinking about my new bio green genie filter not for now but in the not to distant future
could i or is it possible to gravity feed a filter bog( via plumbing from my bio filter outlet )with a uvc installed
and in turn thebog gravity feeds the pond ,or will all the nutrients get eaten in the bio filter,
before they enter the bog
