At least one of the 6 goldfish in my pond has fin rot. We have a 1000 gallon pond with plants. Should I quarantine the infected fish or treat them in the pond? Could heat be the cause of the fin rot, we have had a hot summer?

If it is on only one fish and you can catch it it's best to treat seperate, a good anti-fungal medication and salt to .15%. heat actually help cure, fin rot is usually a sign of a water quality issue so be sure and check all your water tests, Primarily ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate.
