I built a new pond this spring and wanted to make a small fines filter for 1 of the 2 pumps
That made me redo my 1st generation tupper ware one also , The top tray holds the quilt batting , hair curlers in the others
Once built you just place it in the drum

I bought most the stuff at the dollar store , the large one cost about 70$

I wish the pictures were larger, as I am really curious of it. To me, it looks like a bunch of colanders strapped to 4 pvc pipes... Sure it is better than what I can see LOL. Can you please explain the basics of what it is/how it works ...

Just finished reading your old thread ... loved the white barrel for the pillow stuffing ... when you change it out, a lot falls back into the water ,,, the barrel clearly helps with that issue ... SHAME ON YOU for stealing the wife's tupperware ... those would be fighting words here LOL... Now I do have a question ... looks like pillow stuffing in the top chamber, what';s in the others?

I'm still going to try to make the pics bigger,
The pans are just aluminum dish pans with holes drilled in them
They are strong enough to support the legs with 4 screws in each pan
Top pan gets the quilt batting, the rest got hair curlers
Once built you set it inside of your drum to keep the water splash in check

I can understand removing fine particles with the quilt batting, but how do hair curlers REMOVE particles? I understand water dripping over nearly anything will give bacteria another place to grow ... trying to grasp the full concept;-)

So the same bonus hubby is getting with having pillow stuffing on top of cut up pex tubing? Just taking advantage of space for more bacteria to grow?
