I look forward to my Hyacinth blooms every year! I think they're the most beautiful flower, second only to the water Lily :)

They are banned in Wisconsin, too - go figure. No water hyacinth is going to survive our winters in the wild.

Thank you for sharing those lovely blooms @Gemma ! We have a few floating in our ponds but we probably won't get to see any blooms due to the partial shade. Years ago, at our previous home, we had a pond in full sun where the plants exploded like fireworks! I miss those, but at least I can enjoy yours.

Does anyone know is it normal for a WH to bloom for a day and then send like it just folded over on itself and closed up... Stem and pod still are green but flower has never opened again..
