Hello all. I am a first time pond builder who has questions after the fact.
I have a 10 x 15 pond, fed by a waterfall 5 ft high, running down a 10 ft stream.
I have a calpump pwm5200. The pump is submersed and goes to a set of tees and valves which allows me to use as 1. the line to the waterfall,2. a spitter turtle, and 3. a clean out hose.
Questions
1. Check valve . Do I need one?
2. These values and tees etc, how do I hide these? Do I bury the whole thing in a plastic box?
Thank you

to our group!

With a submersible pump you don't need to worry about prime. If when you shut off the pump it lets "dirty" water flow back into the pond, you might need a check valve.

Post a picture it helps us see what you have to help with suggestions

I have some of my valves buried and I used a sprinkler box to house them. My other two are above ground b/c the way the enter the bog and waterfall. You don't need a check valve just when you turn off your pump all the water in the line will drain back down, no big deal. Do you have some sort of filter? If you do then you may want a check valve or it can drain that too when you shut off your pump.
