Hi I've just moved and have a pond in my garden with koi, I've had to take the reeds out as they were overwhelming the pond some of the clumps were a foot deep. I have a good filter system for the pond but the water is still very murky. Is there anything I can do to get the water back to clear.

Welcome and no quick fixes it just takes time .A crate with quilt batting and a pump hose going into will help but will need to be cleaned often .

@Simsar
Just be patient, it will settle and try @sissy 's idea if you want it cleared quicker.

Hello and welcome! Could you give us a little more information about your pond: how big is it; how many fish; what kind of filtration does it have? Pictures can be very helpful, as well.

Welcome to our forum

Give it time esp if you just pulled the plants, stirring up stuff.

You said you removed the reeds from the pond. Are there any other plants in the pond now? When too many of the plants are removed, suspended algae can grow which will lead to murky pond water.
