I’ve been in the fish hobby for 30 year. This is my first pond. I built it in 3 months. I have about a dozen fish 10 or so comets and 1 Shubunkin. Had 2 but one got to close to the skimmer.
The pond is about 15x10. 2 foot deep. I never really measured. It’s About 1500-1800g
I’m running a 3000g clearskim7. With a 3100gph Alpine pump. With head height and linear footage I’m running about 2000gph.

Wow you work fast :D
Nice put together video showing us everything you did step by step!
Your fish have lots of room to grow. What part of the country do you live in? I don't see any snow or ice so must be somewhere fairly mild.

I live in Jersey. The video is from a couple months ago. Before the cold weather.

Not as cold here where we live so I don't need anything to keep ice away unless we have an unusual cold spell. I keep my waterfall running all year to keep ice clear if that happens. Some here use pond breathers or cattle trough heaters to keep air in pond or a hole open in ice.

Nice! Love the lights in the pond. I am going to put some lights in by spring!

They are actually water resistant battery powered remote controlled. I did not want permanent lighting as I was afraid if they went out. I would have to rip up the pond to replace wires. Didn’t want to have to deal with anything like that.
Having pump plumbing underground. That I have to dig up if something goes wrong is enough for me.

I’ve replaced the battery’s 1 time in 6 months. That was with them on fully bright and used almost every night. I leave them in the pond but they are not submerged underwater. They are placed in spots that the water flows around them. They are really bright and do a bunch of colors and flashes. They are very cheap simple and I love them.
Plus if I want to move them around for different lighting effects I can.

so far it’s gotten as low as 20° At night. I haven’t had any ice form yet.
I do have a Aerator in place just in case

you can see just a little bit of slush on the surface. But it was snowing. The slush was gone a few hours later when it got warmer
