We just got hammered with rain . Yes cistern is full again.
While walking around pulling out hand full of dickweed azola and others in a not even two month old bog. What do I find ? Baby fish at least a dozen of them . Now I did pit a male up there when it was chasing all the females in the pond. And low and behold I now have babies everywhere. Is woke right in 21st century can men give birth to babies. .
There's no way they made it from the pond there's a three foot drop from the new bogs waterfall to the stream.
There's no chance they made it past the pump and into the matrix bog through the aquablocks and 30 inches of gravel.
The only logical is they had to have been eggs on the plants when I bought them . LIFE WILL FIND A WAY .

They do sometimes get transferred on bird legs.............the eggs not the fry but if you put plants in there then that could be it!

Maybe not the fry, but eggs can make it through pretty much anything.

And, yes! Life does find a way (thank you, Ian Malcom. LOL)

Could be the fish you moved had eggs stuck to him. I rescued one of our female koi one year who was getting battered by the males. She was covered in eggs. And then they were all over me - I was finding them on my garden shoes days later, all dried up. They produce A LOT of eggs!

I guess time will tell if they show as koi goldfish or other.

The big other right now is I know of three visitors to the pond of late and all of a sudden Muydel the turtle is mia.
